  • My husband bought a $5 pre-ordered Madden card. Once it was released I went to purchase it. This all started at 11:45am I didn't get his game till 3pm and it was from a different Wal-Mart! I dealt with over 8 employees, maybe 4-5 of those were managers. The first employee I dealt with was just focused on her break. She couldn't figure out why the card wasn't taking $5 off, she called a manager and while on the phone she asked for her break. Once the manager got there, the girl asked for her break a few times and the manager looked at her and said, you got here late and you want an early break? Then let her go! This manager couldn't figured it out, so then Letty came over. She was the only person that actually helped me and stayed calm through all of it. BUT she couldn't figure it out either. She called another manager and another and another. She stopped a few employees while waiting for the managers to see if they could do it. Nothing. One of the managers pointed at the back of the card and told me that I have to fill out some information online. I said I've never had to do that before but then I read the back. IT'S ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BUY THE DIGITAL VERSION! I mean really? They gave me a hard time and they don't even know how to read? Now, another manager came by and at this point I was frustrated, I once again said what was going on and the manager basically said tough shit! I admitted that losing the receipt was my fault but I didn't know I needed it. He told me well you just admitted that you lost the receipt so that's why you won't get the $5 off. But then Letty said, you actually don't need it. The card is just acting up. And here comes another employee, on his cell phone! I don't know if it was a personal or business call but he asks whats going on and then he got upset at me and told the person on his phone to hold on. I explain again! He picks up his cell phone, sighs and says, I am sorry this is going to be a while. Then turns around and continues his call!!!!!! Comes back and can't figure it out. He calls a manager to override something on the screen as "a test" is what he said. And it doesn't work. Both of them look at me and say "there is nothing we can do." I left, called corporate and still haven't heard anything for them either. The other Walmart I went to, I told them my issue and they took off $6. Yes, an extra dollar but still helped me out without any drama.
