THE GOOD:
Cost is a fraction of what you'd pay at a full Aveda salon (approx. $20 or $30 depending on the experience of stylist). Experience luxury at affordable price. Interesting to observe the training process. Sensory massage was superb. He did a better job than I've experienced at the actual Aveda salons.
THE SO SO:
The stylist is practicing so at various stages of the haircut he asked his trainer to check on his work. Can be a bit of a pain because my appointment was 1.5 to 2 hrs long when it's supposed to be 1 hr. Also, stylist I had seemed a bit uncomfortable. I guess training is not just in the technique but client service as well.
THE BAD:
You may not get exactly what you want. I don't think I used the proper lingo so my cut ended up differently than I expected. Still good, but different. This is probably more my fault. Suggest you bring a photo of what you want.
