| - I shared in my last review that my family was looking for local businesses to support this year and Parson's was at the top of my last. So even though Parson's had an outdated look from the outside, which intimidated us, we decided to try it. We're also big fans of diners which doesn't seem to be common in Phoenix, there seems to be more franchise places like Waffle House and IHOP- which is fine, but there's something special about a good local diner with great food.
Anyway, we've totally fallen for Parson's. The staff is super friendly for the most part and were always greeted with smiles and a positive attitude. The menu is simple and contains most of all of the diner comfort food people typically love. The food comes out fast and hot- always. My favorites are their breakfasts. Their pancakes are great, very and fluffy. They serve the children's pancakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse which is adorable. The servers are always checking in and ready to refill any drinks. All of the food I've had here has been good. Some plates are more memorable than others.
I like how low key everything is and even how much space there is between tables. I never feel like we're on top of each other as patrons. The inside of Parson's is very outdated, but it's also pleasant because it seems like they are staying true to something, I'm not sure what- but it works. Parson's might not be for everyone, especially if you're looking for trendiness or an extensive menu, but I really like it, and I can't find anything to complain about. I guess it's my kind of diner.
