| - I went to Express with a group of friends and received the most ridiculous customer service ever. A friend of mine wanted to try on a top, when the manager noticed the top was incorrectly ticketed. The top my friend wanted to try on, had a discounted sticker while the others were at full price.
The manager, Charlene, explained this to my friend and mentioned she would have to pay the full price, while peeling the discounted sticker off of the tag! In MOST respectful retail stores, when an issue like that arises, it is clearly the stores fault and the discount price is honoured. Sadly at this location of Express, that is not the case.
My friend was extremely upset and walked out of the store highly irritated. I told her I would go back and ask for the managers name so something could be done about the issue. Not wanting to make the problem TOO obvious, I decided to ask another co-worker instead.
When I asked her what the managers name was, she responded, 'I can't give you her name.' 'She's right there, you ask her'.
I don't understand why a company would teach their employees to behave this way. It's extremely unacceptable. Maybe if the Express staff were wearing name tags, I wouldn't have to deal with this issue! I had to call two different locations to track down the managers name!
