This place blows harder than the Greek economy. Let me detail their price gouging. My standard order at a delicious americanized Greek joint is feta fries and gyro meat. Here a small boat of gyro meat is $5.45, feta fries for $4.75. To put it in perspective I go to the Great Greek 4 minutes away and get a bigger side of gyro meat for $2.50, a better/edible order of Feta fries for $3.00 and delicious Tzatziki for $.75. Also for all you soda guzzling gluttons out there soda refills at Kyklos are $.75. Gougalicious
So it's established that this is expensive. is it good? Nope. Gyro meat is the same old msg loaded product from Kronos so that doesn't really count. The feta fries were literally a handful of well done freezer fries topped with cold feta cheese doused in oil and oregano. When I say doused, I mean there was a puddle of oil in the bottom of my fry boat. Not tasty olive oil or anything just a bunch of flavorless vegetable oil possibly and dried herbs. So that was my meal, a complete rip off.
It doesn't quit there. I bought my uncle a standard gyro (red onion, tomato, tzatziki) which came out to $7.50. The cashier asked if we'd like to add feta to it for a $1.50?! Are you joking? Again for perspective let's reference a delicious AmGreek restaurant like the Great Greek where the standard gyro is $7.95 and includes feta and lettuce. If you wanted some extra feta on that gyro, because your taste buds are burnt out and you're sick in the mouth: at the Great Greek it's only $.75. The point of the matter is this, if you're seeking value and deliciousness around Sunset and the 95: Kyklos isn't where it's at. Higher prices, lower quality in my experience. Check my upcoming review of what feta fries should be on the Great Greek. Those are some kind of wonderful.
