We have been going to Elements for awhile now to enjoy the views and the food in the lounge. The service is always great as well.
Last night we stopped by for a couple of cocktails and some snacks. So at 5:00 p.m. on Friday we learn there is no longer Friday happy hour. OK. We order a 15.00 Korean Chicken Quesadilla and a 15.00 Kale Caesar salad.
The "cheese (sparse chicken present) quesadilla" was basically what you would get at any Mexican restaurant but without guacamole, sour cream, and salsa (Elements quesadilla came served with a single green onion and a little squirt of some Korean style sauce inside). And when I say "little" I mean tiny amount. So basically we were served two tortillas with lots of melted cheese and two or three very tiny cubed pieces of chicken.
The salad serves was your basic simple Caesar with lettuce, kale, and drenched with too much dressing . A piece of aged Parmesan adorned the top.
For 3 drinks and two snacks our bill comes to 75.00. We are accustomed to Scottsdale and Paradise Valley pricing but we have found in this area that the price usually justifies the fine food that is served. Although I haven't tried the dining room the bar food has always been good in the past at Elements. I would definitely recommend though that they step it up on at least these two menu items mentioned here.
