I wish I could give them a better rating because I love anything cooked in pastry.
Overall, the menu is pretty interesting- something for everyone, whether you are a meat and potato or veggie type. There's something there for you. Problem is...they cannot make even the smallest changes because everything is pre-made- as in, already the pastry and frozen delivered to the restaurant, then heated up as people order. At least that's what they told me when I asked for no onions.
We had the Pilgrim and Shepherd's Pie for the main course- they were ok. Fun to eat but nothing taste-wise that blew me away. The pastry was not great either- kinda hard and lumpy.
We also had the PB&J for our son and peanut butter just didn't work- it was chalky and kinda ended up stuck on the pastry and very dry. The jelly was some raspberry with the seeds and that just made eating the thing very awkward.
The restaurant itself could also use a bit of polish- drapes were coated in dust (maybe a nod to some medieval castle inspiration), menu's were sticky, but the bench seating and shared tables were fun.
I'd go back because I'm hopeful that a different order might be better.
