Last time we were here, and we go pretty often since we are in Las Vegas at least four times a year, I took away a star because the service was lack luster. This time I'm taking away another star for the same reason and for the fact that the food just wasn't as good. Again as a party of two we were stuck in a dark corner. It took the server about 10 minutes to acknowledge our existence and then it was the assistant who finally brought water and checked on our starter. The server asked whether we wanted red or white wine and then promptly brought the wrong one. There was a large party coming in to be seated next to us, and for the life of me I can't figure out why restaurants insist on sitting two people only to be crunched in by a large party. The server was so intent on making sure the napkins were folded properly, etc for the large party - bigger tip than two - that we finally had to call him over 15 minutes later to order our main meal. When it came, I had linguine with chopped clams and hubby had mancotti, it just wasn't as good as usual. While mine was topped with several who clams, there certainly weren't many chopped ones on top of the dish. Hubby said his was ok but nothing to write home about. So hot we declined the ending coffee and left. Not sure we'll go back since the service seems to be all about the big parties and too bad for the tables of two.
