  • I have visited this location a couple of times, usually asking for information. The people at the desk and over the phone are always very friendly and helpful. Today I was in the lobby, where it was pretty packed and service was in high demand, due to the holiday special. There was a very difficult customer at the desk taking up a lot of time and attention, making unreasonable remarks and requests. The staff members did an amazing job of staying calm, keeping the rest of the customers moving through, and working together to diffuse the difficult situation. I had to give a shout out to the 2 gentlemen the and 1 young woman behind the counter (I wish I knew their names) who handled the situation calmly and professionally! This is why I never have to hesitate to ask questions, and I always feel welcome at the Lakewood YMCA! Thank you for all you do!!
