| - This is by far the worst, unorganized place I have ever attended. After standing in line for about a half hour, someone comes out and said that anyone that had general admission tickets will need to go around the venue. After standing in line for another hour, we are directed to the entrance that we were first standing at. Since Pittsburgh is behind the times and don't use metal detectors, we were hand searched. The line for the men was moving quicker than the women's, so my husband said he'd meet me inside. I get up the person going to search me and she informs me that my 5 x 8 purse was to big and that I cannot get in. I asked what am I to do, she said to toss the purse, that would be fine if it wasn't a $200 purse. I motioned to my husband to leave with me. He took the purse back to the car. I was also told that I would have to stand in the line once again. When we got back to the people to search us, I got in and he was told that since his ticket was scanned once that he couldn't get in. That was figured out and he did get in. Once we were inside, I noticed quite a few people with bags much bigger than mine was.
I checked the website and the bag size was 5 x 8. If the policy changes it could have been stated somewhere or the someone should let you know way before you get to the entrance. Just to mention that this same purse got into Madison Square Garden 2 weeks prior, but could not get into an outside venue in Pittsburgh. There needs to be a better process for getting people inside the venue and not separate couples or groups.
After all the annoyances to get in, we got to see the last song from the opening act. I found the staff incredibly rude. My first impression of Stage AE was not good at all. I most likely will not attending another concert there. If there was a lesser rating I would have given it.
As for an outside venue this place is good. I think that any place to stand would have been good and the sound was great. Thank goodness that Marilyn Manson did not disappoint.
