  • Everything about the hotel is absolutely wonderful. From the view, the location, the staff, the amenities, etc, everything was top notch. We reserved a river view, which was absolutely gorgeous, and had a perfect view of the NYE fireworks. While a small way from the metro station, there's plenty of small shops and interesting places all within a very short walking distance. When we checked in, we were greeted with smiles and a very friendly vibe. Check in was quick, easy, and we were to our rooms very quickly. Since NYE was just around the corner, they gave both of us glasses of champagne as well. While I already had dinner reservations, I highly appreciated their initiative to ask us if they could get us dinner reservations from the nearby restaurants. Complimentary 24/7 coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fruit flavored water, and cookies was a wonderful addition. With the cold outdoors, it's nice to know there's always hot coffee, chocolate, or water waiting for us back at the hotel. The restaurant, which is attached to the hotel, had excellent breakfasts. They had a special holiday brunch for New Year's Day available which was fantastic. Service was immaculate and the food was delicious. The normal breakfast provided was, also, better than any average hotel complimentary breakfast. The two main concerns I had going into this hotel, from reviews on Trip Advisor, was the noise and the temperature. However, even with the NYE concert going on the port, it was easily manageable if you wanted to sleep (not that we were on NYE). And the temperature was excellent. Wi-Fi was good, but not great. Definitely worked better towards the middle of the building than towards the windows. The only thing that was a little strange, was maybe 15 minutes after we arrived in our room, one of the employees knocked on our door, and I was a little lazy and slow to get out of bed, and he let himself in. Luckily I had the door chain attached, otherwise, he would have gotten an eyeful of my birthday suit, not something either of us would have wanted. In the end, he stopped by to take our champagne glasses we took to our room and ask if everything was to our liking. Overall, excellent place and exceeded all my expectations.
