You would think with the exorbitant prices this place charges, that they'd spend some of their massive profit margins on re-designing the interior. It's dirty and reminiscent of a 1980s Nebraska strip mall on the inside. Their drinks are Starbucks-level or worse, but cost 1 1/2 times more. They don't use any artisan level roasts that would denote their luxurious prices, say for example Intelligentsia or Ritual -- I would happily pay inflated prices for that top-tier roast being used in their drinks. The scene is, as one finds common in suburban Chandler, an awkward mix of goobers and Midwestern-y squarepants types trying extremely hard to act "cool". And the staff is doing their best to smash out drinks as quickly as possible, in a boilerplate approach to get to the next profit generating unit. They don't pretend to even care about taking their time to get drinks right, which I appreciate at top-tier coffee shops with top-tier prices and top-tier baristas who excel at their craft. But for now, this place dominates the suburban Chandler market. They shouldn't be surprised if competition arrives and has no problem creating a better experience, since they seem fairly satisfied and indulgent in their outward-looking perspective.
