My issues is not with individuals, it's with the company as a whole.
We are a military family that received PCS orders that aren't going to be for very long, so we decided to put all of our belongings in storage. Quick sidenote for any military spouses if your servicemember isn't with you they won't give you the military rate.
We paid six months in advance for two units and once that ran out I went online to make a payment. I noticed the funds weren't being withdrawn from our bank account. And after waiting 11 days I called the local office. They couldn't figure it out so they called the corporate office. After almost a week they figured out I must've entered a routing number or bank account incorrectly. I was told to go online and make a payment. I was not allowed to make a payment for some reason and couldn't understand why.
Again I called the local office and they gave me a corporate office number to call. I was told since I "default on a payment" I would be required to show up in person from now on and pay my bill with cash or money order.
We are currently on a military base on the opposite end of the country. I made numerous other calls to the district manager, local office and corporate just trying to give them our money.
I have been treated horribly. I am now being required to drive 40 minutes off the military base to find the closest public storage and pay our bill in person. I've also been informed that this penalty will not be removed, EVER!
What kind of company punishes good customers who have never been late on a payment and has always paid early. I made one mistake and messed up entering an account number, once! I have been diligent about trying to resolve our bill however they won't take our money unless it's on their punitive terms.
So a warning to my military family out there, especially if you're going to be going overseas, don't trust this company. They are no friend to their customers, especially to their military customers. I have never been so disgusted or so revolted by a company.
