This is a review of the chocolate truffles and not the ice cream. I wish I would have opted for the ice cream as that seemed to be the draw for the many costumers flooding in during jazz fest.
I always travel with a chocolate budget and a self-made map of local chocolatiers.
Stop #1 (this stop) was unplanned. We spotted the place while walking through the jazz fest. It's clearly a tourist trap for ice cream lovers. The truffles were so lovely looking, though, that I made the mistake of buying a box. Overall, the truffles at Chocolats Favoris were grainy, over-sugared, and not fresh (fresh truffles have a very short self life). Still, these were fun and, again, beautiful. They'd make a great gift for the non-discerning. For a chocolate aficionado, the chocolates were OK but not great.
