I called and talked to a sales manager (Sam Batista) and asked if he could pass my contact info to a salesman Roger M. on Monday the 23rd 2016. On Friday of the same week when I went in to meet Roger, he said "he didn't know my name and ask if he should?" I told him yes you should and I explained the call to his sales manager - he never got my contact information. Terrible presentation: 15 minutes after Roger left to find the Tahoe I'm looking to buy, he pulls up and tells me "let's go for a test drive - just don't turn the truck off because the battery is dead." I have never gone to a dealership and been shown a car or truck with a dead battery - I would have been embarrassed as a salesman. Closing the deal: After meeting with the very cocky sales manager Sam B., he presented me with their best offer. He hasn't even changed the battery or made a diagnostics on the Tahoe but yet insures me that I'm getting the best deal possible. Yeah - I walked out and will never return to Thorobred Chevrolet. Side note: I called the owner (John S.) and explained the terrible experience I had at his dealership and the details of the final deal I was given by Sam B. - John said he would look into it. When the owner called me back he just didn't seem genuinely concerned with the actions of Sam Batista and said the deal was best I would get and good luck getting a better deal anywhere else. When making money becomes more important than your customers this is what your left with. The finish: I did buy a new Tahoe from another dealership with more options and $1500 less. Bottom line: If you can't trust a sales manager with the small things? How can you trust him with the big one's - like getting the best deal.
