| - My first trip to Melmira (2010) I was fitted by Marney, one of the owners if I'm not mistaken, and I was uncomfortable with her quick, short demeanor. Of the 3 bras I bought (mucho dinero), only 1 lasted a full year.
My second trip to Melmira (2012), I met Babs and was IN LOVE. She knew what she was doing, did everything she could to make me feel comfortable and offered all sorts of tips.
My 3rd trip to Melmira, (2013) Babs had been let go a few minutes before I was scheduled to have my fitting with her. For the inconvenience, I got a couple free cleaners, but really I just wanted Babs. Marney fitted me instead and this experience was much better. She even offered to do a "straight exchange" of a bra I'd bought there that didn't hold up.
When I returned to do this "straight exchange," (today) Jennifer at the counter didn't know what was going on, and even when I asked to confirm with Marney since she was there, Jennifer did not do this. I left the store with my "straight exchange" thinking all was well only to be called when I was 3 blocks away to pay $30 that she didn't realise I would have to pay. Where in "straight exchange" is there any mention of payment?
Now, I can appreciate that $30 is way less than $250 or however much the bra would have cost, but I can NOT appreciate being told A and then being told B and then being told C and then back to A and then AFTER leaving the store being told D. I don't like being chased down for money and having to pay for someone else's mistake.
So, of my 4 experiences with this store, only 2 were pleasant. Going somewhere else next time.
