  • I had the chance to get into Welcome Diners new spot on opening night-- Wow! I could not believe how inviting and "Welcome" the new place is! The patio is still comfortable and inviting with that order at the window vibe! I cannot wait to bring my dog to the new place!! Inside they kept the same vibe at the trailer just bigger! The open kitchen concept is fun to sit at the bar and be a part of the action! The low booths are super comfortable and allow you to take it all in-- not to mention a Disco Ball!!! What?!?! So fun!! On to the best part of 2.0-- THE FOOD!! YUM!! There are still my favorites from 1.0 (the amazing No Way Jose Burger and the Bumblebee!!) BUT NOW There are some new dishes that are too good to pass up: The Pickled Shrimp Toast is a must try!! Light and airy foam on toasted Noble bread-- ummm yes please!!! Seafood etouffee-- the rice was perfectly cooked and had the right amount of acid to balance the whole dish!! Chorizo Meatloaf: if my Nana made meatloaf--this would be it but better! The sauce on this dish is the right balance of flavors to leave an empty plate!! (I would have licked my plate, but people were watching!!) The desserts are just as tasty as before!! The last mentionable is the cocktail menu!! The classics are still there - Hurricane!! (cheers from across the room) and then there are some new amazing drinks to help you settle into the comfy booths!! Kudos to the whole Welcome Crew on the new spot!! I am craving another Welcome Diner fix!!!
