| - LOVE this place!!! Wonderful service, SUPER recommend their dye jobs, and very professional and consistent results every time so far! I've been here twice once in June and once last week for haircut (female), ombre-balayage dye job, and root touch up (actually got baby lights). The first time I had Amanda, who is very fluent in English (if you don't speak Japanese/Korean/Chinese I would recommend Amanda because the language barrier can be a bit problematic if you have no basis). Amanda did a fantastic job with transforming my virgin Asian black hair into a ash blonde balayage. I also elected to get Olaplex treatment during the same appt (doesn't take that much longer, but extra $40-60 if I remember correctly), which I recommend getting especially if you bleach your hair like I did. The treatment adds protein back to the hair I believe, so the hair will feel noticeably softer and more "hair-like" after the harsh chemical bleaching. This appt took ~6 hours.
The second time (last week) I had Jin as my stylist and he is AMAZING as well. I wanted to get root touch ups, but because I have balayage he actually applied baby lights. Jin is like an artist - watching him curl my hair at the very end especially I was sooo impressed by the way he attends to each strand of hair so meticulously! I also had to rush him unfortunately because I was running late to a holiday party and he was so accommodating and responsive. 5/5 experience. Root touch ups do take longer than I expected though; the girl told me 2 hours on the phone but it ended up taking 4 hours.
Each haircut/dye appt also includes a "blow-out" at the end and the stylists here are fantastic with hair curling.
Results 6/5 - received so many compliments both times for my dye jobs
Service 5/5 - there's coat check, tea, shampooing, and a shoulder/neck massage :)
Value 4/5 - spent ~$400 the first time for cut + balayage + olaplex and ~$180 the second time for root touch ups. yes it's expensive, but nothing exorbitant considering the quality and location. imo their haircuts are too pricey though - i spent $65 for a female cut and a guy friend once spent $45-50 for his guy cut (it looked great though). strongly recommend buying their VIP deals (I purchased their $1000 vip deal which helped me save 25% and includes a free hair treatment and $100 worth of free hair products from their studio)
Venue 5/5 - not too big, but very clean and trendy
