| - First off, this review addresses the management and ownership of the salon, not the quality of service. Sarah and Laika were very sweet and provided excellent service. However, coming here would support a horrible owner, discrimination, and unfair business practices.
My mom and I are visiting family here in Henderson & wanted a quick mani-pedi for mom and pedi for myself. We arrived at Color Nails & Spa and were immediately taken back. Laika was assigned to my mom by the owner, knowing she wanted a mani-pedi. In the middle of my mom's service, Laika's 1:30 appointment arrived. The lady was very accommodating and asked when she should come back.
Over the course of the next 30 minutes, Laika kept being interrupted by management multiple times, telling her that she needed to let a co-worker take over, so she could see her client (mind you, the client had already left). This was distracting, disruptive, & extremely uncomfortable for us.
Mid-manicure, the owner (male), sat down next to Laika and peered over her shoulder for about 10 minutes. He then began to REPRIMAND her in front of us making attacks on her character and bringing up personal information that had no bearing on our services there. I stopped him & proceeded to tell him how uncomfortable he was making us and how unprofessional his behavior was to speak to his employee in such a manner in from of a customer. How did he respond you ask?? He challenged me & told me I shouldn't feel uncomfortable at all...HA!!
Well, he fired her on the spot. My mom PAID for her mani-pedi in full and did not even get the full manicure, but we were so upset that we left.
My thumbs are shaking as I type this. I will be reporting Color Nails to the BBB and anywhere else I can file a complaint with. This place should be shut down. The owner does not know how to run a business.
