Crepe Cellar has an awesome ambiance. I love the cozy feel with exposed wood and chalkboard specials on the wall. The service is top-notch with knowledgeable, friendley servers and talented bartenders.
But, for a crepe restaurant, I really don't care for their crepes. I find them somewhat dry and a bit bland. I do, however, like the rest of their menu quite a bit. They have a mussels special everyday that never disappoints. There's a flatbread pizza special that is enjoyable. The arugula salad with balsamic, fig dressing is a-mazing.
It can get busy here, but I can consistently get a table without a wait if I go early-ish (like 5:30). If you have a wait, there's plenty of places in NoDa to enjoy a drink before your dinner.
