Location: Wellington St E., Toronto,
Items Ordered: Happy Hour Vodka Martinis Galore ($6.15) + Grilled Kalbase ($7) + Gaucamole & Chips ($7) + Tomato Boccocini Flatbread ($16) + Pravda Mini Burgers ($16) + Traditional Perogies ($12) Vegetable Spring Rolls ($26)
It was my girl's birthday, so 5 of us ladies took advantage of the 4-7 happy hour. The place was filled with nothing but groups of women doing what we were doing, getting drunk before 8pm. This might as well have been a scene from Sex in the City; cougars, twenty somethings and everything in between trying to look pretty while sipping vodka martinis like a lady of class. With one or two suits sitting by the bar. Can you picture the scene?
The décor was quite intense. Soviet style throughout. Russian reds, gold and yellow accents, lots of vintage lamps.
The martinis were excellent, as was as the mountain of food ordered. Big fan of the perogies; mushroom & potato filled with dill & sour cream and the mini burgers; angus beef with wild mushroom ragu, & old cheddar.
I would come here again for the following reasons:
1) impress or entertain out of towners
2) vodka tasting, they do that with ice shot glasses
3) getting schooled on everything vodka
