  • This review is for Century link customer service. This is not about a particular store. A nightmare! After 8 years of internet with them in Vegas, I decided to call and upgrade my service. Made an appointment for a Saturday. Got home from work on Friday with no internet. Called them and was told that because I was upgrading they were making "changes" to my account and that was why I didn't have service. If I wanted service back that day, I would have to cancel my order for the upgrade. I'll be patient I thought. So Saturday came around, I called at 9:30 am to check on an approx. time that the technician would be out. I was told that they were "on their way" and would be arriving in about 20 min. Great! or so I thought. Three hours later - now 1:30pm, no technician. So I called again... Now I'm told that yes, they see my order and that "not to worry" they will be out today to get us upgraded. Two hours later, no technician. So I called for a third time. I'm now told that my order had been "CANCELED FOR SOME REASON". They didn't know why but I would have to call customer service on Monday! I still had no internet. Now Tuesday, Called to cancel my order so I could get my slow internet back and so far I've been on the phone for over an hour! I'm now on my 4th transfer! After being on the phone for 25 min with a customer service rep, he kept telling me to "hang on" he was looking over my account. This went on for over 10 minutes with my asking if he was still on the phone (there was no sound that I could hear). He would then answer yes, I'm still here please be patient. after 25 min, he just hangs up! Call back again with the same silly script about how they appreciate my being with them for x amount of years and on and on. two more transfers and now this guy tells me, I don't know what they did, but we just upgraded you. Really?? how can that be when someone has to be home for your technician and I have no internet? He didn't know. So now I'm waiting for him to "try and cancel" my order so I can get some internet back. Not looking very promising. I'm switch to another carrier at this point anyway but hoped to get something in the meantime. The worst company I've ever dealt with. It almost seems like it's some sort of joke.
