| - I went to Malibu nails for my second time last night. My first experience was great and I was looking forward to going back. I had a 6pm appointment, and arrived 5 min early, because I was really looking forward to kicking off a relaxing evening. The receptionist told me to pick out my color, and someone would be with me shortly. She then disappeared, and I ended up sitting in the lobby for about 25 minutes. I was about to get up and leave when they finally came to take me back into the salon, and put the hot mittens on my hands. I sat there with the mittens on for another 15 minutes before someone acknowledged me. When the nail technician finally came to take them off, she proceeded to ask me if I would like one nail painted a different color. I told her no thanks, then she asked why not, and I told her that I can't have different colors for work. She, herself, had her nails painted with one nail a different color. Next, she asked me if I thought her nails were ugly for having one nail a different color--which was very awkward. She asked me AGAIN why I didn't want to have one nail a different color and I told her it's just not my style. Needless to say, this was NOT a very relaxing experience. I expect a certain degree of professionalism from the nail salons that I go to, and this salon just didn't do it for me. And I guess making an appointment holds no weight whatsoever. I will not be going back.
