| - I originally started my ivf journey at a clinic in the summerlin area. I got fed up with the wait times and how impersonal it felt. This is a very personal, emotional & expensive experience so i decided to check out 2 other clinics. I had consults with Dr.Sher & Dr. Fisch. I ultimately decided to go with Dr.Fisch. It just felt more comfortable. The consultation was free & he spent close to an hour with me, explaining my options. I did 2 cycles of ivf & boy were they a roller coaster! First cycle they retrieved 30 eggs! Great right? Well out of 30, only 6 matured. The problem was they matured on day 7. Day 7 embryos are not likely to create a viable pregnancy & in the past were thrown out after day 6. Well they decided to freeze my 7 day embryos since they looked good & started hatching. I did 2 FET, with 2 embryos at a time. Both failed. I still had 2 frozens left. I decided to do another cycle so that i could bank more eggs (not getting any younger). The second cycle resulted in 17 eggs, only 1 made it to freeze, again on day 7 :( at this point i had 3 frozen, 7 day embryos. The statistics were against me. 38 years old, 10 yrs of trying, pcos, 7 day embryos...lost all hope. Me & my husband had given up. This was going to be our last frozen transfer & the end of us persuing parenthood. I was so sure they wouldn't stick. Well 2 of 3 survived thaw & those 2 are now 13 weeks along! I am expecting twins in April 2017! I want to thank Dr. Fisch for always being honest, sincere & a great RE! I want to thank the staff for being so sweet & supportive! They always answered my questions and concerns quickly! The other thing i loved about this place, i don't think i ever spent more than 20-30 mins at an appointment. In & out! They understand everyones time is valuable. A big THANK YOU to everyone at GVFP. I would recommend them whole heartedly!!
