  • I'll start by saying the ONLY reason this hotel got a star from me is because I can't give them zero stars on here. This was the WORST hotel I've ever been in. While the rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were great and the beds were very comfortable the customer service was so lacking from both the hotel and corporate, that I will never stay in another DoubleTree hotel again. Our first problem was the lack of information given during checkout. We ( my friends and I ) had worked all day and were looking forward to coming back to the hotel to relax by the pool and get in a hot tub for a little while. The pool has a new closing time of 9pm and we didn't know. ( other people followed us to try to get in and they didn't know the pool was closed either) The next problem we had was the next morning, we wake up early for the breakfast because Expedia has advertised that there is a free breakfast with the room purchase, and the desk attendant said nothing about it, so we figured it was with our room as advertised. WRONG. Our $130 room, came without breakfast. We went to talk to the desk attendant and she was very rude and would not give us the vouchers for their lack of communication and false advertising. We ended up going to a Golden Coral right down the street, and noticed a lot of other pissed off looking families from the same hotel. I'm sure because they were told they get a free breakfast and didn't get one... Fast forward to later that morning, we arranged a late checkout with the desk and had it approved. Our checkout time is now 12:30. At 11am a housekeeper knocks on our door and immediately enters the room UNINVITED while we are napping before our long 5 hour drive home. She wants to know if we are staying that night, or leaving .. this makes us uneasy and a little irritated because we have a do not disturb sign on the door, and had our checkout time approved. In the room and all over the hotel it is posted that if you are unsatisfied with your stay for any reason that you should notify the hotel so they can make your stay right, this is not the case as I had to fight with the front desk just to comp $15 off my bill, and then be handed a handful of cookies, as If the cookies will make everything better. They would not do anything to try to keep my business as a customer and continually blamed my experiences on my group or Expedia. I've had hotels give me a free night simply because something wasn't brought to our room on time and then this hotel refused to do anything until I called the corporate office to make an official complaint. I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and will never stay at one of these hotel branches again. This is by far the most unprofessional and rude place I've ever stayed...
