| - I think it was really ironic how another customer had just as bad of an experience as I did at this rip off and unprofessional salon. People tend to think that businesses have those deals online to try and attract more customers, in this case I believe they were trying to damage their business.
As the review above has mentioned there was a voucher on buytopia that stated this:
"Voucher for $39 for a Wash, Cut, Style, and Partial Highlights OR Colour
-Additional charges apply for longer or coarse hair, subject to stylist judgment
-Colour option includes only one tube of colour - Additional charge of $12 for each additional tube of colour applied"
Anyone would think this is an amazing deal, especially because this salon is located within the yorkville area. Just as mentioned in the previous review I received a call a day before my appointment to confirm everything. Once I arrived there it was extremely busy. I was told that Donna would be doing my hair and was told to sit in the chair near her. waited for 20 mins got moved and her daughter started doing my hair. All I wanted was to color it one color and get a hair cut. Her daughter just started doing my roots then made me move from where I was again then wait another 20 minutes. Then they told me to sit at the sink wait there, and then the shampoo girl dyed my hair. No, not a stylist but a shampoo girl dyed it in the sink, like you would with box dye, with your hands. Afterwards I had to sit at the sink and wait till they felt it was ready to be washed out. Got washed then was told to move again so I can get my hair cut. Waited for a good other 30 mins for Donna to do my hair cut. She was rude and was rushing to complete it, but I have to give it to her for making it look decent from how rushed she was.
At the end of it I was charged an extra $84 because they said my hair was long and I have a lot of hair? I'm asian, my hair is thin and long. So in total paid $120 with the voucher for the worst experience I have ever had. Couldn't even get a single stylist to work on my hair, better yet got the shampoo girl to dye my hair in the sink.
I got home and realized that my hair wasn't even dyed properly, I could still see my previous hair color and my roots. But let's be realistic, why would it be if it was dyed in a sink? If I was dying my own hair I wouldn't even be dumb enough to do that.
So anyone who purchased this deal? GET YOUR MONEY BACK! DO NOT GO THERE. You'd be paying regular price for shit service.
Word of advice for the salon, if that's your plan in the end, to charge regular price at least treat your customers as those in the salon who didn't get this dumb "deal". Because all your regular clients were seen as a priority and treated amazing.
