So I was a bit nervous to check out this place but decided to finally bite the bullet and use one of my Class Pass classes to get my Madness on!
Such a really nice facility. I was immediately greeted when I entered and was explained the concept of MADabolic. Basically 5 different workout moves (You chose your level of weights based on a color. Whites are the easiest and blacks the hardest. If you pick white, for example, you stay with that group throughout the whole workout) that are done at various pre-determined intervals.
I thought the workout was tough but the moves were ones I had done and seen before in various other workouts (box jump overs, kettlebell cleans with squats, sprinting/running, dumbbell push presses, and this weird thing with handlebars that I seemed to just suck at). What made this workout tough was the intervals and lack of rests. Essentially it was a minute at each station. Went through all the stations 3 times and each station increased in difficulty (ie 1 squat first time, 2 squats second time, etc). So 15 minutes straight and then a 3 minute break. Repeat. 30 minutes of workout with 3 minutes rest was a beast but made me feel amazing at the end!
The instructor was super encouraging and offered great tips throughout the workout!! Will definitely be back!
