| - The store is impressively decorated and well stocked, but it is too large to explore thoroughly in one visit for those of us who live some distance away.
I was a little surprised at the taxidermy animals on display, and I didn't enjoy their presence.
I did like the freshwater aquarium containing largemouth bass, black crappie, gar, and other species. I wonder if anyone there knows that bass love to eat crappie? ;o)
I used to be an avid hunter, fisherman, camper, and outdoorsman as a younger man, and Cabela's has those areas covered to the max.
There is an outstanding selection of outdoor clothing, including jeans up into big man sizes.
Bow hunters will find anything and everything that they could possibly need at Cabela's.
There is plenty of ammunition and firearms, although most of the pistols are Glocks (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Ammunition prices have become astronomical. Whereas one used to be able to buy boxes of ammo in quantities of 50 bullets, they now come in boxes of 20 for the same price.
In the past I've ordered plenty of Cabela's items online, but it's nice to have a brick and mortar location to browse.
The reason that I didn't give Cabela's five stars, is because of their HIGH prices.
