| - I love this place! The inside is so cute and cozy, and there is a pretty decent amount of seating. You can sit upstairs or downstairs and there is a variety of seating options (backless bar stools, comfy chairs, cushion back bar stools, tables). Soooo much natural light too! Perfect for that Instagram latte shot
For parking, I've only been Saturday mornings and haven't had an issue finding street parking around 4th ward.
The staff has always been very kind to me and not made me feel rushed.
Coffee wise, I've only had cappuccinos there so far and they're delicious. It's good quality coffee without that weird bitter hipster coffee taste.
I really came here today to tell you all the GRITS! Oh my gosh best grits I've had in Charlotte in 3 years of living here. I got them with the homestyle potatoes and bacon. The bacon was nothing to write home about and was floppy, but those potatoes were phenomenal. So much flavor. The grits were thick, cheesy, and the perfect texture. I got them with cheddar cheese. It's a huge portion of grits too. I didn't finish them all and I really wanted to.
Desserts: The cannoli I had was fabulous. Kind of different from your regular cannoli in that the filling leaned more cinnamon (not overtly though) and no chocolate chips. Homemade waffle shell too. The cronut on the other hand was a little bit of a let down, but I also don't like really sugary things. So if you have a big sweet tooth, you would probably enjoy it.
Lastly, if you're a gifts person like me, they have a great selection of quirky gifts and cards, similar to Lincoln's Haberdashery.
This place is awesome! Check it out!!
