Los Olivos is a decent place to stop for Mexican food. It has been around a very long time, and it shows its age. I find the eclectic decor to be kind of charming myself. Of course, the iconic burro is always there to greet you as you walk in.
The chips and salsa are good, but I haven't had much luck finding an entree I really love. I usually go for burritos, and they have all been serviceable. The chicken does tend to be very bland, but you can always add salsa. We have also always found the service to be very attentive.
If you get tired of slick, chain-style restaurants, Los Olivos is a nice change from them.
