| - I wanted to have a nice portrait of my wife and I as a gift to my mother for Mother's Day, so I picked a very nice picture, appropriately cropped it, and sent it off to Shutterfly to have two prints made and special delivery so it would be on time. After shelling out over $20 for a 4x6 and a 5x7, what arrived at my mother's house were incredibly dark replications, completely unusable to her.
I contacted shutterfly to let them know how unhappy I was with the poor quality of the prints, and rather than offer to redo them for free (and make sure the lighting was true to the picture I sent in), the basically wrote back saying "Well the picture you sent was kinda dark itself" (which the printed pics were MUCH darker, I held them up right next to the picture I sent them to confirm) "but we'll give you 50% off if you wish to order additional pictures."
Yeah, right, like I'm ever going to give them another dime of my money. I will never use Shutterfly.com for anything ever again, and I recommend that you do the same.
