  • When this land was designated green space, they could have left it as simply a rough grassy space with trees and a few benches. But the city put a lot more effort into it. A few clever sculptures can be found at the two entrances. Throughout the park the walls and lined with amusing or insightful quotes. Signposts point to cities named Charlotte all over the world. In winter, a skating rink is erected . It's not likely to win design awards, but a little effort has made this one of the most interesting outdoor spaces in Uptown.
