Airlines have their good days and their bad days. All of them! I have only flown with U.S. Airways or should I say the All-New American once, and I had a really great experience.
I was sitting at the wrong gate due to when my boarding pass printed the gate number printed on the perforated mark where the pass tears. Totally my fault especially when I am always overorganized and constantly checking the gate to make sure it doesn't change and the flight status.
It was approaching boarding time and there still wasn't a plane at the gate. I still didn't put two and two together. I was relaxing now as it was the start of vacation. It was departure time and the flight status changed to "awaiting takeoff". It was then that I realized I was at the wrong gate and I was of course on the other side of the airport. I ran faster than I ever have had before with my carry-on, slowing me down.
I went to the gate and the woman was very rude and told me I needed to go to customer service. I was like "oh, here we go". I had two connections before I got to my final destination, I will never make it as my final destination is a very small airport with very limited flights in.
I went to the customer service office and my luck just completely turned around. The woman was so very nice and I told her I have to get to my final destination, as anybody would say. She was like well its not looking very hopeful because the next flight to Denver, wont make your connection to Philadelphia. But then she told me it was my lucky day and she was able to cut one of the legs out of my trip and got me on a direct flight to Philadelphia. Made my connection and received my bag at my final destination. I never had to pay a penny.
THANK YOU US AIRWAYS. I will continue to fly you until you do differently.
