I purchased a Certified Pre-owned vehicle that was previously represented to be a loaner (a vehicle that the dealership lets you drive when your vehicle is being serviced). They failed to disclose to me that the vehicle had been in a rear-end collision, which I only learned when I pulled a CarFax when I sought to sell the vehicle. I was surprised and disappointed that a Mercedes dealership would sell as Certified Pre-owned a vehicle that had been in a rear-end collision and would commit a material non-disclosure by failing to tell me about the collision. (Had I known of the collision, I would not have purchased the vehicle.) Of course, as a result of the collision, I was forced to accept a significantly lower sales price for the vehicle when I sold it.
I called the dealership and spoke with Sales Manager John Chiorazzo. He confirmed that the dealership would not sell a Certified Pre-owned vehicle that had been in a rear-end collision, assured me that he would look into the matter and informed me that he would get back to me soon, at the latest the following morning. Thus far it's been three weeks with no call from Mr. Chiorazzo or anyone else at the dealership.
This dealership engages in questionable business practices and I would strongly advise others not to purchase a vehicle from this dealership.
