  • Drove through this area on my last day in Vegas. What a beautiful change from the craziness on the Strip! During our drive, I can't tell you how many times I was awestruck by the scenery. Being from Wisconsin, I had a preconceived idea of what a desert would be like, but there was much more plant life than I was expecting. The dry river beds and different colored layers of the mountains made you wonder what life was like here in prehistoric times. I am so glad I discovered this natural wonderland just a few miles from my favorite vacation city. I can't wait to come back!
