Lochiel brewery is a new brewery in Mesa. They brew there beer on site which is evident by the yeast smell and the tanks sharing the taproom. They have 6 in house brews, all which were surprisingly decent for the short time this establiment has been up and running.
Alley was warmly welcomed and began relaxing on the cool floor after taking some long smells of the yeasty air. She ate her dinner and was treated kindly by the bartender.
They have some games and legos for anyone interested. 2 flat screen Tv's play sports from behind the bar. Classic Rock is playing but is barely distinguishable from the sound the brewing tanks make. As for location, if you blink, you will miss it, the sign is beyond small.
The biggest downside for me was the yeast smell in the air. I really couldn't taste a difference in their beers. The porters tasted the same as did the other 4. The taste wasn't bad or harsh so it's not really a complaint. Their extra special bitter tasted like a regular IPA so make sure the name doesn't scare you from trying.
Keep on brewing and Alley will be back. ;-)
