Well, I'm going to make it official: I like this place.
Food wise, I'm always on-board for the Nabeyaki Udon, and have been especially enjoying it on chilly days as of late. (only way it could be better is: two tempura shrimp instead of one and that the shrimp is served on the side so it doesn't have a chance to get soggy. Request it as such!)
Hub likes a double by-pass (i.e. TWO heart attack rolls) and though deep-fried sushi isn't so much my thing, I agree that this item is delicious. And, just a note, most happy hour selections have a deep-fried component. Drink specials on happy hour are decent as well. (Like $3 for large sake.)
All the maki / sushi we've tried here has been fresh and tasty and a reasonable value. There are other menu choices like katsu chicken that have done the trick as well.
The service is always delightful.
At first, I didn't care for the layout of the place but the ambiance, food and service (plus a recent table by the window, even though it's just a parking lot view) have done wonders to dispel any hesitation about dining here regularly.
