| - I ate here today - there was a power outage all over the area before I went in, but the restaurant was still bustling in the gloom. I ordered menudo - it came with about eight tasty homemade corn tortillas, onions, cilantro. I hadda get oregano from the next table. There was a condiment bar with four kinds of salsa, plus a tub of pickled vegetables - kinda hard to see in the dark, but I got what I wanted there.... Soon the electricity came back and it no longer felt like being in a cantina in some very isolated rural part of Mexico. The menudo was quite tasty - and beside the cow stomach pieces there was also a fair bit of tendon - yeah, okay - I like that sorta stuff, don't register this as a complaint! - it's real Mexican food... but If you don't prefer this, there's still burritos and tacos, enchiladas, camarones in several manifestations, etc. On Mondays tacos are only a buck each (excluding fish tacos.) There's a big variety of taco meats too....
