  • It's an old theatre that could stand a major renovation but you just can't beat their offerings of independent, foreign and art house type films. Do I wish the seats were more comfortable? Sure! Would it be nice to have more than one bathroom on the ground floor. You betcha, it would be! Could their concessions offer a little more variety? Yeah, I suppose. But, I'm willing to overlook all that since they're one of only a couple theaters in Charlotte brave enough to show films that have become some of my favorites like I Am Not Your Negro, Requiem for a Dream, Shakespeare in Love, The King's Speech, Jackie, etc.
