| - Honestly, this is not the best place on the strip to stay. True, its location is good, but that's about all it has going for it.
The rooms seem very nice at first, but the more time you spend in them, the more you realize that details have been overlooked. Although a recent renovation has certainly freshened up the rooms (keep in my that I have no idea what it looked like before the renovation), it appears to be more like someone slapped a band-aid haphazardously onto a wound. A lot of the hardware is outdated and damaged. For example, the faucet was displaying signs of advanced rust, there were unpatched cracks in the walls, and the bathtub was missing a stopper. The carpet in the hallway was coming up and a metal covering on the ceiling and floor had become partially unscrewed.
The actual casino and accompanying grounds had little to offer beyond really cheap shopping and a passable food court. It looked dated for sure, but was not falling apart. The tables are lower priced than many nearby casinos. The pool was the nicest thing. I loved the shady grotto.
Honestly, if you're staying here, it's for the low price. Other than that, I wouldn't bother.
