We were out looking for a dishwasher. We hit Lowes first. They had the Bosch model we wanted on display but almost everything was special order and two week delivery. Being the impatient bunch that we are, we head to Home Depot. They have half the models on display that Lowes did, and half the brands as well. On a whim we decided to head to this Best Buy location. First thing we notice is that the appliance section is much more updated than we last remember. Granted, we've not been to a Best Buy in forever (honestly not sure what the life expectancy of Best Buy is at this point.) Anyways, we walk around the appliances for a bit before Alex (taller with some bleached hair) asked if we needed any help. We knew what model we wanted but we asked him some questions to see if he had any knowledge that might point us in a different direction. Initially I was pretty disappointed. My couple day of reviewing dishwashers seemed to have left me a bit more knowledgeable than him. It shouldn't be that way. He was nice though and I later learned that he was pretty new to the gig.
Back to the dishwasher. They too have the one we want on display, but not in stock. Good news though is that they can have it at our house in two days. Way better than two weeks. On top of that, that includes a free professional install and haul away of the old unit. I believe the free install is a Bosch deal but not sure. He threw in the kitchen kit for hooking the unit up, free. The other Alex (shorter, no hair coloring) rang us up and we were set to go. A+ for the Alex & Alex show. I hope that the first Alex gets up close and personal with the appliance show room.
***UPDATE 2015 MAR 18***
Barry came and did the install today and was done in about 30 minutes. We did have the old dishwasher uninstalled and waiting for him outside though. He was professional and did a good job leveling out the unit and testing it.
