| - There are a couple of different ways to view this place:
If you're looking for a hotel, or somewhere to stay while in Vegas and you want to go to shows, gamble, or peruse the strip this isn't the spot for you. It's relatively old, shoddy, and full of sports gamblers and not the kind of "see the sights" folks you'd find on the strip.
It's also driving distance (or at least a long walk) to the big areas of the strip like Bellagio if you want to relive some Ocean's Eleven. Basically a one-star off-strip joint.
If you want to gamble on sports? This is a five-star spot and you should make your way here. In addition to having one of the biggest (if not the biggest overall) boards in all of Vegas, you can rent couch space for a fairly reasonable amount all day, even on weekends. We got a couch in front of the huge tv/gaming board setup for all day on a Saturday during college football season for only a $350 minimum in food and drink. Tax and tip are more on top of that, but if you have six people who come and go all day, it should be pretty easy to meet that minimum.
They hold the spot for you as well, so it's yours until midnight.
There are bathrooms close to the sports book that work well if you are a dude who needs to pee, but easily get clogged and turn pretty disgusting pretty quickly. You might want to make the longer walk if you need to poop.*
* - I have a toddler, so poop's the word we're going with here.
