  • I chose 2 stars for this review since I did get a great interest rate, but that is about it. I went with the independent mortgage broker with the promise of an on time closing and personal service. Unfortunately I did not receive either. After providing all of the required information and having more than 30 days to close the loan I ended up having to ask for a 3 day extension just so the 'underwriters' could approve my loan (I was putting a 30% down payment and have 775++ credit score). I did not feel any sense of urgency from Kimberly. When it was time to sign I provided several time slots well in advance, but I was not scheduled at that time. Kimberly said she would meet me at the title company but she arrived about 30 minutes after I started the process. After signing all the papers (you know what a stack of docs they have) I was THEN told that the escrow account was 'short' and I had to take extra time off work to rush to my bank to get a wire transfer to cover the sale....unbelievable! I have bought/sold 6 homes and have NEVER had to rush out after signing all the paperwork to 'fund the loan'. On every one of my other transactions the loan agent calculated the costs and provided an estimate that allowed for a minor refund after the deal was completed. Having to shell out another $1,500 with zero notice was typical of the service I received. About 30 days after my closing I contacted her again to see who would be servicing my loan. She said she would get back to me the next day but after waiting 5 days and nothing back from Kimberly a notice from the new bank arrived by snail mail......I never did hear back from Kimberly. So much for personal and attentive service promised from the local small business,
