Honestly if it wasn't for Chef Ricardo & how excellent the food always is, I'd be leaving one star for service & total confusion. They really need a better system for the line area maybe a bigger bar or a hostess stand.
Servers Jill & Melita were on different pages. The four people in front of us turned into 13 drunk people. They told Melita that they had a group of 11. Finally, they were seated two hours later. Frank called us over to sit & as we are seated, Jill says the group had two more & we'd have to go back to the line. Manager Ariana came over & had absolutely no clue what was going on & said 13 people were ahead of us. I said this is so unnecessary cause they are all seated so she was a day late basically.
After they settled the issue, Jill said they were out of all the libations & 24oz glasses of beer, they only had 16oz. I asked her what the sweeter tomato sauce soup was that I'd had before & she said we don't have a sweet soup. To me, the Pan Roast does have a nice sweeter tomato sauce. I asked the chef he said yes it is & let me taste it. I almost always get the Lobster Gumbo cause to me it is the BEST I have ever had. Chef Ricardo said he would make me the Lobster, Sausage & okra Pan Roast if I'd like to try something new. It was fantastic!
I have been coming here for a decade & all the old people are gone besides Chef Ricardo. The last waitress really had it together w/ the flow of the line & patrons at the bar moving along smoothly. Thank you Chef for impressing my friends from Iowa w/ the best lobster gumbo & shrimp scampi ever.
