My second time trying Sushi Koma's AYCE was quite disappointing. I had a variety of nigiri and all the fish except for the tuna seemed good to me. The place was busy but the coziness of the place didn't allow for a lot of people. Even then, I had to wait for my food longer than what I'm accustomed to. But that was alright since I wasn't absolutely starving. What made the experience so bad? When my nigiri came, the rice was awful. I would describe it as cold and with the texture of week-old rice that one has left in their fridge. Every frickin bite was just extremely annoying. No matter how friendly the service and fresh the fish, I can never stand a sushi bar with bad rice. It was probably an off night since I've eaten here before. But man, something like rice should be kept consistent in any respectable Asian restaurant.
