I went with my husband to see Dr. Prasad. My husband had been having issues and was told by his PCP he needed to see a cardiologist to rule out heart problems. Dr. Prasad was rude from the get go. He continually interrupted my husband. He actually told my husband that heart attacks cannot happen at rest, only when you're exercising! Then he told my husband that there was nothing wrong with him and that he wanted to do a bunch of tests to prove my husband wrong. At this point, I was angry at how Prasad was speaking to my husband and stepped in. I told him that my husband wasn't there because we thought there was something wrong with his heart, but that his PCP had asked my husband to come in and rule it out. He got very angry at me, raised his voice and started telling us it was all in my husband's head to which we both replied that we were asked to see a cardiologist to rule heart issues out. Prasad brought up the testing again so I asked him if any of the tests would test for ventricular function. He yelled at me that I am not a doctor and that I have no right to question him because he's been a doctor for over 30 years. I replied that I can and will ask questions. The appointment went downhill from there and we left upset, confused, angry, and feeling violated.
