| - Awesome experience at NV Climbing Centers this weekend. Our first time there and my very first time rock climbing so I was super nervous. There were about 15 people give or take when we first got there and only one employee. Despite him being the only one, he was very chill and patient with all of us. You have to sign a waiver before climbing for everyone in your party. Afterwards you're fitted for shoes and harness, a 15 minute instruction on climbing and belaying, which is all you need. Then off we went on our own. My 10 year old is a little monkey, she's climbed before and loved it. I was scared at first but you're so focused on where to place your hands and feet next, you don't even notice how high you are. Everyone in our party had so much fun. We stayed for about 2 1/2 hours. By the time we left, there were probably about 50 people in there. The size of this place is huge so there is enough space to accommodate everyone without tripping over each other. I really felt for the employee, who was still on his own. Mad props to him for staying so calm, keeping his composure and being able to give great service. People just kept walking in.
A little sore in the arms the next day, mostly from belaying, not the climbing. A great workout out, you're too busy enjoying yourself to even notice it's a workout. Great for the whole family! We will definitely be back.
