| - Stayed here last year (that went fast!) while in town to catch the Bruno Mars show at the Park Theater. I really enjoy gaming free hotels in Las Vegas - they're like peaceful islands amidst a turbulent sea.
So for this hotel, we booked a great package through MasterCard's "priceless cities" program, which came with an upgraded panoramic suite and spa treatments for two amongst other things. These hotel rooms are really like condo units, our unit came with washer/dryer, dish washer, full kitchen (albeit mini) and all the plates/etc, you'd need. As well as having slippers and robes.
Overall I'd totally stay here again, because it's convenient enough to get into all the action, but by itself so that you don't have to deal with the "stuff" that casinos deal with. Here's my recap:
Pros:
-Smoke free - smelled great in there!
-Gaming free - nice and quiet
-Panoramic suite came fully appointed with kitchen/washer/dryer and lots of closet space. A family with young children or any children could definitely appreciate it.
-Location: it's close to the strip and all the "excitement" that it has to offer
-Monorail from hotel to hotel. So the Bellagio/Vdara/Aria/MonteCarlo are connected by it's own proprietary monorail (free) that runs about every 5-10 mins. One would think that because the Bellagio is "next door" to Vdara it'd be easy to walk to, but alas, Vegas blocks and casinos are MASSIVE, so take free shuttles/monorails where you can.
Cons:
-Pool: the pool is small and because of all the glass of the buildings that surrounds it, the rays of the sun are super magnified. Best best would be to try to get a cabana, especially if you have little ones.
-The tiled floor all around our suite was COLD, so those slipper are handy, but if not bring socks.
-In the Panoramic Suite, there is no door separating the toilet area from the general bathroom area. Granted the bathroom is big but the toilet is just "exposed". It's a terrible waste of space IMO. So my thought is that this suite is really supposed to be for people who are really, really comfortable with each other because again there's no separating business.
