| - I went to Her Majesty's Pleasure (HMP) with a group for a bachelorette party, and our experience was so unprofessional that I feel compelled to share how extremely disappointed we were in the lack of quality of the services.
1) Firstly, my manicurist ended up cutting my finger until it bled - in my picture you can see the congealed blood near the cuticle. I have *NEVER* had a manicurist draw blood in the past, even at much, MUCH cheaper salons.
2) Despite getting a gel manicure, which in my experience usually lasts at least a week, my gel manicure ended up chipping after two days (also evident in the picture).
3) All 5 members of our party were taken to their appointments at scattered times, 3 to pedicures and 2 to manicures. The 3 people getting pedicures were left waiting for more than 20 minutes after their pedicures had finished and were not told when they could get up and where to go to join the rest of the group. This left us feeling like the staff were not organized and not familiar with how to make larger groups feel welcome.
4) We had to remind the staff repeatedly that as part of our group package (Party Package A) we were entitled to a glass of bubbly and a macaroon.
5) I was also unimpressed at the lack of organization during the booking process. For example, despite outlining exactly what I wanted to book, I had to repeatedly clarify myself as the wrong services were repeatedly booked. My name was also spelled incorrectly multiple times on the itinerary (despite my name being spelled out verbatim in my email address). Hardly acceptable from a luxury establishment.
My sister had originally booked to have her wedding manicure and pedicure at HMP, but after this extremely disappointing experience, she immediately cancelled and booked her wedding services at a different establishment.
Given the extremely high price point, I consider the lack of quality in the services at HMP to be unacceptable. I also sent my complaint to HMP's management, and I have heard nothing from them since.
In sum, I believe all of the work that went into HMP as a business was exclusively ambiance-focused (decor, etc.) and little attention was directed towards customer service and manicurist competence, i.e. all style, no substance.
I would highly discourage people from booking an appointment at this company.
