| - We were a group of 18 who visited Dessy B's on Mothers Day. I hadn't eaten there since the location was a Sizzler. A little history: From what I have read, when Sizzler closed rather abruptly, many of the employees got together and took over the location, re-naming it Dessy B's.
Enough history. Our Mothers Day dinner was absolutely delicious! I had the 10oz Prime Rib from a special Mothers Day menu. For about $20, it included choice of potato, and a trip to the salad bar. What a bargain!!
The Prime Rib was the best I've eaten in YEARS! It easily beat out others I have had, costing 3-4 times the price, such as at The Golden Steer. Tender, succulent, and juicy; I honestly LOVED it.
The salad bar featured cold, crisp veggies, as well as a nice assortment of fruits, soup, hot items, breads, and even some light dessert items. The lady tending it kept everything full and fresh. (She was working her butt off! lol). The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the taco meat, (goopy) and the fried chicken (seriously needing seasoning).
Others had steaks, shrimp, and other menu items. Everyone in the party was happy with the food and the friendly, not-stuffy, service
